tipptom Posted December 3, 2013 Report Posted December 3, 2013 Hi,done my anti roll bar links thanks to the kind folk on here with their info and photos, very proud of myself. There is a rattle on the passenger side when running rougher road but when I changed the drop links on the drivers side it just all fell in to place nicely for the two threads and nuts but on the passenger side I had to get the misses to sit on the bonnet(no sniggering down the back, shes not that big)and bring it down to get it to align. Does this give a better indication to single out what the rattle may be and if so could my new found skills be brought to the fore again to fix it? Quote
viperclive Posted December 3, 2013 Report Posted December 3, 2013 Sounds to me like your rear bush has gone in your wishbone, use a big shifter and prise the wishbone up n down, another test is get someone to tighten the wheel nuts hard/jerking, and look at wishbone end to see if it's broken away from rubber bush, indicated by the end flopping about which causes the rattling when going over bumps. seatkid Posted December 3, 2013 Report Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Check the arb bushes/mounts both front and rear also. Check your spare wheel is not loose. Edited December 3, 2013 by seatkid Quote
viperclive Posted December 3, 2013 Report Posted December 3, 2013 I would also change the anti roll bar bushes, they may look ok but they go hard and cause bad knocking, there only a couple of quid and easy to replace. Quote
